Umbrella-shaped structure: It adopts a unique three-layer umbrella-shaped design. The Angle between the upper umbrella edge and the horizontal direction is 5-10°, and its length is 15-50mm longer than that of the middle umbrella edge, forming an inclined surface, which is conducive to rainwater erosion. The unilateral extension of the middle umbrella edge is smaller than that of the upper umbrella, avoiding the formation of dirt accumulation dead corners with the upper and lower umbrella edges. The lower umbrella edge and the middle umbrella edge work together to form an alternating umbrella disk design of "large - small - large", which increases the creepage distance and reduces dirt accumulation. Some designs also add small umbrella edges inside the umbrella shape, further enhancing the creepage distance and the strength of steep slope tests.

Performance advantages

Excellent anti-pollution flashover performance: The three-layer umbrella-shaped structure makes the equivalent salt density on the surface after dirt accumulation only 1/3 to 1/2 of that of the bell jar type and the standard type, and the effect of rainwater erosion is remarkable. Through the interlaced umbrella design, dust accumulation is reduced without affecting the climbing distance, and pollutants are less likely to fall into the middle of the umbrella ridges. For heavily polluted areas such as coastal and chemical industries, the resistance to pollution flashover has been enhanced by increasing the height and spacing of the umbrella edges to avoid bridging between adjacent edges.  
Outstanding mechanical and electrical properties: The tensile strength of tempered glass exceeds 60N/mm², capable of withstanding wire tension, wind swing vibration and short-circuit electrodynamic force. After being scorched by the lightning arc, a layer of glass peels off the surface, but the new surface remains smooth and the insulation strength does not decrease. Its main capacitance is large, and the voltage distribution in series is uniform, which reduces the voltage borne by insulators near the conductor side and the ground side, and reduces radio interference and corona loss.  
Low maintenance cost: It has a zero-value self-explosion capability. There is no need to climb the pole to inspect each piece one by one. Damaged insulators can be detected through ground or helicopter observation. Operation practice has proved that it has long-term stable electromechanical performance and a service life of up to 30 to 50 years.
