The anti-fog disc-shaped suspended tempered glass insulator is mainly composed of an iron cap, tempered glass parts, steel feet and adhesive. The iron cap is used to connect hardware and transfer mechanical loads. Tempered glass parts are the main insulators. The tempering process is adopted to enhance their mechanical strength and lightning strike resistance. The steel feet are used to fix the wires and are bonded together with the iron caps through cement adhesive.

Excellent electrical performance: The high dielectric constant of the glass makes the voltage distribution of the insulator more uniform, reducing the risk of partial discharge. The anti-pollution design enables its creepage ratio distance to reach over 31mm/kV. Compared with ordinary insulators, it can withstand higher voltage under the same pollution conditions, reducing pollution flashover accidents.
High mechanical strength: The glass material has undergone tempering treatment, featuring a high tensile strength that is 1.5 to 2 times that of ordinary porcelain insulators. It can withstand extreme mechanical loads such as wire galloping and icing.
Strong self-cleaning ability: Some models are sprayed with silicone rubber on the glass surface to form a hydrophobic layer, causing water droplets to roll in spherical shapes on the surface and carry dirt away from the insulator. Meanwhile, the umbrella skirt structure can accelerate the scouring of water flow or the stripping of dirt by air flow, reducing the frequency of manual cleaning.
Zero-value self-breaking characteristic: If there are defects inside the glass, it will break by itself during operation, which is convenient for timely detection and replacement during inspection and avoids safety hazards caused by the long-term existence of "zero-value insulators".Factory pictures
